  6. In the four years since the first Grammy In The Schools 
  7. was held in New York, this innovative Recording 
  8. Academy project has earned recognition as one of the 
  9. country's premier music education programs.  The 
  10. recipient of the 1990 Award of Excellence in Education 
  11. from the American Society of Association Executives, 
  12. Grammy In The Schools is a nationwide series of music 
  13. career days aimed at high school and university students.  
  14. Through free lectures and workshops with such recording 
  15. industry personalities as Hammer, Henry Mancini, 
  16. Suzanne Vega, Jerry Moss, Lalo Schifrin, Al Jarreau, Bruce 
  17. Lundvall and Garth Brooks, students get practical advice 
  18. on their own careers as well as an insider's perspective on 
  19. how the industry works as a whole.
